Bartra: I’m comfortable playing as a full-back

Barcelona centre-back Marc Bartra feels that Luis Enrique’s rotation policy is the best thing for the squad, while also stating that if needed, he would move out to a wider position, which is where he played with Barcelona B.

In a recent interview with TVE, Bartra first stated that following the club’s transfer ban ruling, he’d be more than willing to play as a full-back, as he’s had plenty of experience in the role prior to making the move to the first team.

“At Barca B, I played several games as a full-back under Luis Enrique. I felt comfortable.

” Bartra went on to add that he’s had his fair share of growing pains but is now confident enough to fight for minutes alongside newcomers Jeremy Mathieu and Thomas Vermaelen, when the latter returns from injury.

“I went through some very difficult times in my first and second years. But what’s important is not hanging your head, listen to your teammates and learn from them.

“The more competition, the better it is for the team and important to continue improving.

” Bartra concluded by discussing Luis Enrique’s tactics and rotations, which he full supports stating that he feels “comfortable” and that the basis of their tactics “is the same.”
